Assessments - Quizzes and Exams
📚Introduction:
- Al Ansar Int. School, believes that every student is unique and possesses the ability to learn, and that we should develop their interests, talents, multiple intelligences and potentials.
- Integrated into our dynamic curriculum, the change in assessment practices places more emphasis on ‘Assessment for Learning’ (Formative Assessment) as an integral part of the learning, teaching and the assessment cycle.
- The focus is on successful learning strategies, why learners are not learning well, and how to help them to improve, rather than just to use assessments to find out what knowledge students have learned. Measuring student progress is vital for success.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already been applied to our education system in applications and programmes that help develop skills and understanding, through testing systems. … “AI can drive efficiency, personalization and streamline admin tasks to allow our teachers the time and freedom to provide understanding and adaptability”
- Student progress is accurately measured in each of our AI programmes, where students and parents can monitor both student use of the programmes and their child’s progress in skills and understandings.
📚Our program consists of a range of assessment types for effective assessment:
- ✅ A broad range of in-class Formative Assessment (Assessment for Learning) strategies
- ✅ Diagnostic testing to establish individual needs
- ✅ Unit pre-testing to measure pre-skills required for each unit
- ✅ Skills-based assessment
- ✅ 21st Century assessment strategies
- ✅ Portfolio assessment
- ✅ Authentic assessment
- ✅ Peer-assessment
- ✅ Self-assessment and self-monitoring
- ✅ Summative assessment, end of unit checks (UCHK)
- ✅ Term Exams
- ✅ Assessment is usually made against a rubric that shows levelled performance criteria
- ✅ Portfolios use sampling to measure individual development and progress of time

International Benchmarking Assessments
Introduction:
- At Al Ansar International Private School, we conduct a range of International Benchmarking Assessments to monitor student progress, identify strengths, and support academic growth.
- These Assessments play a crucial role in evaluating our students’ performance both nationally and internationally.
- As part of the UAE National Agenda, these assessments are mandatory for all private schools in the UAE. They serve as key indicators of student achievement, complementing our success in international examinations such as IGCSE, AS and A – Levels. After each assessment, parents receive detailed reports outlining their child’s performance.
- The results from these Benchmarking exams are thoroughly analyzed to refine our curriculum, ensuring that our programs align with international standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of our students.
- At Al Ansar International Private School, we are committed to providing students with the highest quality education.
