Al Ansar International School is a leading British International school in Sharjah, UAE, offering the UK National Curriculum from FS1 to Year 13. Licensed by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the UAE Ministry of Education, we deliver a high-quality, internationally recognised education.

UAE Ministry Curriculum Compliance: In addition to the UK National Curriculum, Al Ansar International Private School fully complies with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education curriculum, delivering Arabic, Islamic Education, Social Studies, and Moral Education for both Arab and non-Arab students.

Assessment and Progression: For Years 10 and above, students undertake external board examinations (Cambridge, Edexcel, and Oxford AQA) alongside internal assessments in Arabic, Islamic Education, Social Studies, and Moral Education.

In the lower year levels, students follow the Cambridge Checkpoint framework, with continuous internal assessments conducted at the end of each term to monitor progress and support learning development.

Education Levels and Subject requirements: Our Learners receive certification from Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel International and Oxford AQA International boards.

Benchmarking Assessments: At Al Ansar International Private School, we use Internationally recognised Benchmarking Assessments to monitor student progress, measure achievement, and support targeted teaching and learning. These assessments help identify strengths, address learning gaps, and ensure continuous academic improvement across all year groups.

• ACER-IBT – Measures critical thinking, problem-solving, and core academic skills in English, Mathematics, and Science.
• CAT4 – Assesses cognitive abilities to understand students’ learning potential and preferred learning styles.
• TALA – Evaluates Arabic language proficiency and literacy skills development.
• TIMSS – Assesses international standards in Mathematics and Science achievement.
• PIRLS – Measures reading literacy and comprehension skills for primary learners.
• PISA – Evaluates 15-year-olds’ ability to apply knowledge in real-life reading, mathematics, and science contexts.
• PT Series (PTE, PTM, PTS) – Internal progress tests in English, Mathematics, and Science to track ongoing academic development.
